WeDress Collective

WeDress was born out of love for high quality fashion and passion for a fashion world that allows consumption to exist without harming others or the environment.

As a passionate fashionista, fashion expression and diversity have always been very important to me and played a significant role in my life. Therefore, I dealt with sustainability very early on, which is why in 2013 I decided to switch to sustainable clothing and consume less. I became a “heavy user” of second-hand platforms and part of the fair fashion world. The topic of consuming better and smarter naturally played a steadily growing role in my life during this time.

Chamiah Dewey Fashion

Chamiah Dewey Fashion is the UK’s first clothing brand for people with Dwarfism/short stature. We offer stylish, timeless pieces, made in eco-conscious fabrics, sourced and produced in the UK, and finished with innovative, adaptive fastenings.

Our mission is to disrupt the fashion industry, producing and spreading positive representations of little people to the mainstream media, changing societal perceptions and showing the fashion industry that little people are just as beautiful and deserving of stylish clothing and a place in the industry.

Launched by 22 year old Chamiah in her final year at London College of Fashion, the brand’s achievements over the past year are extraordinary: showing at London Sustainability Fashion Week; a pop-up shop on the world-renowned Oxford Street, London; winning two awards back-to-back with University Of The Arts London; releasing two world’s first books; creating the world’s first tailors dummy in the form of a woman with Dwarfism.

Ritu Ganshani

Ritu Ganshani is a London-based Indian designer. After graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in India, she moved to London to pursue her career. She’s a curious individual who aims to create an impact through her creations. Her designs have a minimal yet niche approach inspired by sustainability and eco-conscious practices.

Her debut collection, One by One, is a capsule collection featuring seven looks. It is entirely hand-made using natural materials and is inspired by contemporary silhouettes. The idea is to juxtapose straight-cut forms with fitted ones- to explore the spectrum between femininity and androgyny.

The main objective of the collection, along with exploring the expression of identity, is to be inclusive.

All the looks are made with sustainable cotton material and completely dyed with natural dyes using avocado and onion skins. Through these sustainable materials and natural dyes, the designer aims to showcase how modern silhouettes can be achieved by adopting eco-conscious practices, one by one — hence the name.

Differently Enabled

Following his discharge from the ICU, Crawford was encouraged by his occupational therapist to switch from the hospital gowns to his own clothes for a speedier recovery.

Craig arranged for his favourite clothes to be brought to the hospital the next day. 10 hours later, Crawford was sitting in a puddle of his own urine, having not had the strength or dexterity to untie his drawstring waist or pull down his waistband in time to reach the bathroom. This was his first humiliating clothing experience, but not his last. There was a large gap between who he thought he was and who he was now, thanks to a global pandemic and killer virus. A 30-year veteran of the luxury fashion and technology industry – he knew there had to be another way. DE is that way.

Kensho [ken-sho]

Kensho is a Japanese term that translates to “seeing one’s true nature.” This concept truly resonated with us and became the brand’s philosophy.

Kensho started by exploring the potential of true colors found in nature through a beautiful printing technique, Eco-printing. While the idea of slow living boomed in 2018, we experienced it in our childhood at our homes. Growing up in a South-Asian household, we could see how our culture adopted sustainable practices. From reusing Nutella Jars to reusing old jeans in a patchwork bag, we were living a sustainable life from the start. Kensho became a medium for us to take this to the world.

What started as a venture at a university fest became more than just a brand. Kensho aims to create one-of-a-kind pieces for each individual and connect them with nature at its core through stories.

While people buy their products, we want them to really know what went into making that. We want to tell a story that will live with them and be remembered every time they adorn that piece. We don’t just want to sell clothing items but unique experiences of nature to individuals worldwide.

Amar.te

AMAR.TE was born in April 2021 from an unpretentious conversation in the living room.

Believing that the fashion world leaves something to be desired when we talk about humanized fashion, inclusion and transparency, AMAR.TE emerged from the desire to walk our path with these pillars as values.

Through our pieces, we intend to break a barrier created since the beginning between people looking for something that values them without feeling the need to change something in themselves to adapt to the aesthetic standards imposed by society.
